CABA: Mindful Resilience

Date: 1 August 2016 16:00 - 19:00

Type: Career and Personal Development, Social and Networking

Organiser: CCASS

CCASS are pleased to work with CABA in Cumbria; this is the first of a series of courses to be held. The way you react to challenges and setbacks is a reflection of how resilient you are. Resilient people don’t dwell on the fact that things don’t always go quite as planned. They simply learn from their experiences and move forward.

Resilience sessions explore ways of boosting your self-confidence and coping more effectively with setbacks, both in and out of the workplace.

You’ll explore the tools you need to develop a resilient attitude and examine the differences between pressure (which can be positive and motivating) and stress (a natural reaction to too much pressure).

After completing this session you’ll be able to:

  • Recognise the difference between pressure and stress
  • Identify what causes you stress
  • Understand the foundations of resilience
  • Assess your personal level of resilience
  • Use a range of tools and techniques, including mindfulness strategies to increase your resilience
  • Design a plan to continue to build your resilience

The session will also be a brilliant opportunity to meet and socialise with other trainee accountants in the area. There will be teas and coffees prior to the session start and a hot buffet dinner provided for all those wishing to stay after the event. The event is free to all ACA students.
