Financial reporting update and current issues with Bill Telford

Date: 27 November 2019 13:30 - 16:30

Type: Audit Assurance and Financial Reporting, Course

Organiser: Tyne and Wear

To update delegates on recent developments relating to financial accounting assignments and to highlight their practical implications.

During late 2018 and early 2019 there are expected to be few new issues in financial reporting but there are many practical audit related issues and we have therefore decided to run two separate courses.

Course information

In order to ensure the continued relevance of the course, the detailed content will be determined nearer the date of delivery, but will include:

  • Accounting Update – to include changes to company law,
  • the micros and small company accounting regimes,
  • topical issues plus other recent and forthcoming changes to UK accounts giving a true and fair view and feedback from regulators and others.

This will also cover practice regulatory and compliance issues related to accounts preparation and related services

The financial reporting course will be relevant to qualified accountants in practice who need an overview of recent developments to help them identify issues relevant to their clients and firms. It will also be relevant for finance directors and controllers in small and medium sized businesses.
