Munro Walk – Ben Vorlich (Loch Earn)

Date: 20 June 2020 10:30 - 16:30

Type: Social and Networking

Organiser: ICAEW, NorSCA

Join us and ICAEW Members in Scotland for a social walk to the Munro summit of Ben Vorlich by Loch Earn.

This year our guided Munro Walk, to which all ICAEW members as well as family and friends are welcome, will ascend the Munro summit of Ben Vorlich by Loch Earn in Perthshire.

Ben Vorlich is 3231 feet high and is a prominent peak in the Southern Central Highlands of Scotland. Fine views are obtained from the summit on a clear day.

The walk involves a total distance of about eight miles and includes about three thousand feet of ascent. It is suitable for anyone who is capable of walking that sort of distance on hilly ground. The weather can be cold at 3000 feet at any time of the year. Boots and warm and waterproof clothing (including gloves) should be brought, and worn as necessary.

The walk will start at 10.30 am at Ardvorlich on the south side of Loch Earn.

In order that we have some idea of numbers it would be helpful if you could let us know if you are planning to take part in the walk (see booking arrangements below). All ICAEW members as well as friends and relatives are welcome to participate, and please feel free just to turn up on the day if you wish.

We also intend, for those walkers who are interested, to have a meal together after the walk at the Achray House Hotel. If you would like to join us for a meal please indicate when you are booking.

Please make sure you arrive at 10:00am ready to depart for 10:30am.
