Speaker

John Grundy – Born in Carlisle in 1946, John Grundy is a popular and well known local historian, author and TV presenter. He is a passionate enthusiast for the history and architecture of the North East. Chairman of the Friends of Beamish Museum and Patron of the Elders Council of Newcastle upon Tyne.

His books include “John Grundy’s History of Newcastle” and “Northern Pride”. He is currently working on a book on the history of Northumberland.

John will give a talk (and Q and A) on the history of Newcastle.
