Tyne & Wear Chairman’s supper – Tyneside Cinema

Date: 28 April 2016 19:00 - 22:30

Type: Social and Networking

Organiser: Tyne and Wear

Richard Slack, chairman of Tyne and Wear Society of Chartered Accountants, is delighted to announce details of the Chairman’s Supper for 2016. Kindly supported by Durham University Business School.

The evening will commence at 7.00pm in the Digital Lounge with a drinks reception followed by insights into the Tyneside Cinema and the management of a much loved building in Newcastle. The cinema is the oldest in existence which opened as a news cinema in February 1937 which was then closed for a period in the 1970s. During the 1980s a major renovation was undertaken, and more recently the cinema was further expanded with the opening of the Tyneside Bar and Bistro. In the Digital Lounge, we will also enjoy watching a vintage Look North from the 1980s to see how the North East looked then.

The evening will continue with dinner, served at 8.30pm in the Tyneside Bar and Bistro, with a three course meal, appropriately themed with some screen favourites, and wine.
