Northern Society of Chartered Accountants

At the heart of northern business since 1882

Tyne & Wear GPG – North East Social Investment Fund

Date: 22 October 2015 08:00 for 08:15

Type: Business and Industry, Social and Networking

Organiser: Tyne and Wear

Most practices in the Northern region have one or more clients who fall into the “Social Enterprise” category.*

The next Tyne & Wear General Practitioners’ Group meeting will hear from NorthStar’s Peter Gilson on how he holds a significant pot of money waiting to be advanced to social enterprises in the region – the North East Social Investment Fund – and is desperately keen to advance it to your client!

NEL Chief Executive Yvonne Gale will be in attendance and will give an overview on alternative business finance;  you may have heard about Jeremie money – Yvonne will be able to clarify what is available.

It’s not quite Mark Knopfler’s “money for nothing”, but do attend to learn how your clients could benefit.  If nothing else the bacon or sausage sandwiches and the networking are worth the effort!

*These will include: charities (limited by guarantee or CIO only); CICs (limited by guarantee or shares) and Registered Societies (previously known as ‘Industrial and Provident Societies’ for community benefit).

PwC offices will open at 08:00hrs.  Breakfast refreshments will be available on arrival.
