Now in its fifth year, Finance for the Future was founded by ICAEW and HRH The Prince of Wales’ Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S). The programme recognises leadership from finance teams that embed sustainability within their organisations to create resilient business models.

The annual flagship event, the Finance for the Future awards, are a fantastic opportunity for organisations and finance and accountancy professionals to showcase their commitment to sustainability, raise their profile within the business community in North East, Teesside and Cumbria, as well as connect and share best practice with a community of business leaders and engaged finance and accountancy professionals.

“Showcasing raised our profile in our target market; and networking was a great way to meet multinationals who wanted to work with us.  Being a SME finalist in London provided our MD a fantastic opportunity to explore business ideas with new contacts!”

Karen Ogilvy, Finance Director, Castle Group Scotland
2015 SME finalist and winner of the Scottish Heat

Hosted by the University of Edinburgh Business School, an awareness raising event will take place in February 2016. This event will allow attendees to:

  • gain a clear understanding of the Finance for the Future programme and the benefits for businesses to enter the awards
  • network with past awards winners and finalists to hear how their initiatives have strengthened their business models
  • discuss business issues such as the expectations the global supply chain has for business sustainability

To register your interest and attend this event, please contact Richard Slack, Tyne & Wear Chair: [email protected]
