Once again Northern Society members volunteered their time to act as mentors and judges at three heats of ICAEW BASE 2017 in Carlisle, Newcastle and Middlesbrough.
As many of you will now BASE is a National Business and Accounting competition for students in school or college aged 16-19.
A unique and exciting experience, students are able to engage in a business challenge that enables them to develop key employability skills and understand what it’s like to be an ICAEW Chartered Accountant. More at icaew.com/base
Our 3 BASE heats continue to provide an important face to face networking activity (with students and teachers) to both widen access to the profession and allow some of our recently qualified members to act as business mentors.
Thank you to Northern Society members for contributing your valuable time in support of BASE.
