We were delighted to celebrate the success of Northern Society of Chartered Accountants #ACA students from across the North East, Teesside, northern Yorkshire & Cumbria in our Graduation & Prize-giving Event in the wonderful King’s Hall, Newcastle University on Saturday 7 May 2022.

Many congratulations to our 50 students and their families from across our region who celebrated their successes in the ICAEW exams in 2021!

The graduation event this year was held in King’s Hall, Newcastle University and was hosted by Chris Soan, President of Northern Society and Northern Society Past President Karen Muir who announced the names of the successful students (both those winning Northern Society Awards and those graduating students) who were each invited to receive their graduation certificate from Chris Soan and Will Brooks.

We were delighted that we were joined by Will Brooks, ICAEW President and Mark Edmondson, President & CEO of INFLO Software who was our keynote speaker.

Our newly passed and prize-giving ceremony is one of the largest events for successful ICAEW students and has proved very popular in the past.

Students who have won exam prizes and those students who became exam-qualified during 2021 were invited to attend the event with up to 3 guests to celebrate their successes. Once again many congratulations to all successful students.

This was the first time since May 2019 that we were able to have an in-person event to celebrate the exam successes of ICAEW students across Northern England as they go forward in their careers in business and practice across the region and beyond.

Funded by Northern Society of Chartered Accountants

The event was funded by Northern Society of Chartered Accountants.

We hold this event annually in Newcastle upon Tyne to recognise the successes of ACA students across north east England, Teesside, northern Yorkshire and Cumbria (the Northern Society of Chartered Accountants area).

All new ICAEW members are invited by ICAEW to a national new members event at Chartered Accountants’ Hall in central London, but Northern Society recognises the time and costs of travel & accomodation to/in central London.

In order that as many ACA students and their family members, partners & friends, have an opportunity to attend an event to celebrate the successes of the ACA students in our region we invite ACA students who have completed their exams to join us for our Graduation & Prizegiving Event in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Northern Society of Chartered Accountants would like to thank CAPET and Newcastle University Business School for their kind support for the graduation event.
