Tyne & Wear Charity Quiz raises funds for RNLI 23 October 2014

On 11 September 2014 the Tyne and Wear Society held its annual general knowledge charity pub quiz at McKenna’s at Newcastle’s Northern Stage. 

Eight teams battled against each other to wrest the winning trophy from last year’s winners.

Questions tested the extremes of knowledge, proving that teams’ scores were well-deserved! Persistence was not futile and resulted in the team put together by Clarke’s Chartered Accountants being the victors.Their chosen charity for the evening is the RNLI and a donation of £500 will be made to that worthy charity.

Perhaps through gritted teeth, as the Tyne and Wear Chairman’s team came second, congratulations to Pam, Sam, Jim and Carol, the winners and current trophy-holders.
