In June 2015, Leathers LLP, formerly Leather & Co, will reach its official 25th Birthday, and in Michael’s inimitable style, he wanted to do something just that bit different to celebrate.
Accordingly, Michael (Leather), the firm’s founder, has committed to riding the whole route of the 2015 Tour de France seven days ahead, with eight colleagues riding different parts of the route in support. This pre- Tour de France event is called the Tour de Force and is held annually to raise money for the William Wates Memorial Trust. The William Wates Memorial Trust is a charity set up to provide grants to Charities supporting the most disadvantaged young people in the UK wwmt.org.uk.
The Leathers TdF team are aiming to raise £50,000, via donations and also by holding a series of events including a Charity Sports Dinner (17 April) and a Golfing Day. Details for the Sports Dinner can be found here.
The team are featured on their own website, howdoyoucelebrate25yearsinbusiness.com where you can see their rider profiles and training blogs. They have all made a huge commitment in terms of time and fitness. Donations may also be made here on the page howdoyoucelebrate25yearsinbusiness.com/charity-and-sponsorship.
