Designed for non-specialists who have little or no background in accounting and who would like to understand the basics.
Attendees will be equipped with the tools to understand what financial statements broadly depict rather than having to rely on accountants to tell them. With terms and concepts explained, delegates will be able to question the constituents of numbers so that income statements, balance sheets and cash flow are more easily understood.

Christopher Soan is currently a Lecturer in Accounting at the Newcastle University Business School. A Chartered Accountant, he has external audit experience from two of the ‘big four’ accountancy practices as well as financial reporting experience in both the private and public sectors.
