This course is specifically focused towards those who are brand new to accounting and need to learn the basics of double-entry bookkeeping to assist in the production of a basic set of financial statements.  The skills taught are transferable to practical accounts preparation work and will also motivate participants to understand why certain tasks are performed.

Christopher Soan

Christopher Soan is currently a Lecturer in Accounting at the Newcastle University Business School. A Chartered Accountant, he has external audit experience from two of the ‘big four’ accountancy practices as well as financial reporting experience in both the private and public sectors.
