FD talk & tour – Beamish the living museum of the north

Don’t miss this opportunity to gain invaluable insights from the FD of Beamish Museum as he explains the impact the museum has had on both business and the local economy.

Join us for our exclusive behind the scenes tour of Beamish where Finance Director Mark Pemberton and Assistant Director Sally Dixon will give us insights behind the business including funding, latest developments, and their sustainability journey. We will then take a 90-minute private bus tour around the site. Highlights will include The Pit village, 1950s Town, 1940s farm and much more.

After the tour you are free to wander around, explore the site and have lunch at one of the many eateries. The weekend of the 8 October is October Steam up weekend.

The cost of the event has been subsidised by the Northern Society of Chartered Accountants and is open to members, their family and guests. Places are limited and are booked on a first come, first serve basis.

Programme

10.00 Arrival at Beamish main entrance & proceed to the boardroom. Please make your way to the Boardroom in Barclays Bank in the 1900s town by bus, tram or on foot

10.15 Boardroom to be available with tea, coffee, & biscuits

10.30 Finance talk and background/developments of the site – Mark Pemberton & Sally Dixon

11.15 Private Bus Tour with a Knowledgeable Conductor

13.00 Attendees free to visit the site & lunch
