Date: 7 October 2014 09:30 - 12:30

Type: Audit Assurance and Financial Reporting, Course

Organiser: Tyne and Wear

Three major changes in 2013 will potentially impact on the computation of taxable profit:

  • (a) Cash accounting for small businesses;
  • (b) The adoption of new UK GAAP;
  • (c) Micro-company exemptions introduced by the EU.

Tax case law continues to involve cases determined on the accounting and not the tax law. People still struggle with deferred tax!

  • Cash accounting and what it means in practice
  • Update on tax and accounting case law
  • Aggressive tax planning, accounts and auditors
