Have you ever wondered how Fairtrade chocolate is ethically financed? Join us virtually with Newcastle head quartered Shared Interest where we will be guided through how some chocolate is financed ethically.

Event Information

Fairtrade fortnight takes place in early March with the theme of choose Fairtrade now and help save our favourite foods. Did you know that cocoa is going to be much harder to source due to climate change?

During this seminar the team at Shared Interest will:

• Give an overview of the business
• Give insight in how Shared Interest invests in Fairtrade businesses
• Share how individuals can get involved in investing in ethical businesses

Speaker

Tim Morgan

Tim has been Finance Director at Shared Interest since 2009. He is a Chartered Accountant and Secretary who has worked with values based businesses for 25 years. He was previously Finance Director of Traidcraft for eight years to 2006 and part-time Company Secretary of Producers Direct (formerly Cafédirect Producers’ Foundation) for ten years until June 2019. Tim is also a Non Executive Director for Ecology Building Society.
