Northern Society of Chartered Accountants

At the heart of northern business since 1882

Join our Teesside Pan Professional Joint Supper 14 February 2021

You are invited to join our Teesside Pan Professional Virrtual event.

A highlight of the Teesside Society of Chartered Accountants social calendar pre-pandemic was the Pan-Professional Joint Supper, last held in early-March 2020 at Middlesbrough Football Club.

With 120 attendees last year, the event has always been very well received in the local community as a prominent networking occasion, as well as the quiz highlight of the year thanks to Keith Proudfoot’s impossible questions.

Whilst we maintain that the music round would have been easier if Keith sang the lyrics, some skilled people did still manage to get some of the questions right to take home the fizz prize.

11 March 2021 – join us

Whilst we may not be able to celebrate in person this year, the event is still going ahead via Zoom and, fear ye not, there will still be food (and wine)!

The Village Deli in Stockton-on-Tees will be providing a graze box with a fabulous selection of sweet and savoury treats for the night. Mr Proudfoot has once again kindly offered to provide entertainment, however, given the recurring issues with the “music” round on Zoom quizzes, the plan is instead to engage in some fiery food-related debate instead.

Of course, one of the main benefits is networking and there will be plenty of opportunity for this on the night, so we do hope as many of you as possible will join us on 11 March.

About Northern Society of Chartered Accountants

Northern Society of Chartered Accountants (NorSCA) represents 4,000 ICAEW members and ACA students working in business and the finance profession across the North East of England, Teesside, northern Yorkshire and Cumbria.

We have been assisting businesses in the north of England and producing chartered accountants for over 130 years.

About ICAEW

There are over 1.8m chartered accountants and students around the world – talented, ethical and committed professionals who use their expertise to ensure we have a successful and sustainable future.

Over 181,500 of these are ICAEW Chartered Accountants and students, a powerful and diverse network of talented people, whose initiative and integrity help economies thrive. We train, develop and support each one of them so that they have the knowledge and values to help build local and global economies that are sustainable, accountable and fair.

We’ve been at the heart of the accountancy profession since we were founded in 1880 to ensure trust in business. We speak for the profession, uphold standards and campaign for progress in a volatile world. We work with others to develop strong, accountable and open economies where people can trust data, leaders can make good decisions, public finances are transparent and businesses are accountable.

ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) is a founder member of Chartered Accountants Worldwide and the Global Accounting Alliance.
